Video Game Production
Who?
My name is Abigail. I'm one of the crazy, what you call "indie developers". It's a bad life choice. Don't do it.
I've got a husband who is too smart for his own good, and two darling adorable cats who like to establish dominance by ruining various pieces of furniture.
I've got my name in this database that says I'm cool.
Why?
Imaginary worlds and fantasy have helped me discover how I relate to the real world and what sort of person I want to be.
Video games play (pun intended) a vital role in creating opportunities to rest, restore, and ponder about oneself within the safe realm of fantasy.
***
They not only capture a valuable part of the human experience, but they also capture artistry in almost its purest unadulterated essence.
We can appreciate a painting by viewing it, and a novel by reading it. Unlike these forms of artistry, video games require the player to become the active agent and driving force of the narrative. The player becomes the avatar, becomes a character. They fully immerse themself into the pretend world and thus gain a sense of responsibility and ownership for pretend actions in the pretend world.

For a moment of time, I have imagined myself as many different characters. A dragon slayer. A princess knight. A spaceship captain. A dungeon delver. An explorer.
But even after the game ends, I still feel like character is part of me.

In my practice I use creative imagination interwoven with logical design to manufacture gameplay.
My goal is simply for it to bring you joy, And if you feel inspired by it, I hope you carry that experience with you and permit it to become part of your story and a reason you create for others to enjoy.
2D and 3D graphical techniques can intertwine and complement each other.
I do full pipeline, but focus on 3d graphics and scripting. I have a few official Credits from published games
Sewn stuffed animals, faux taxidermy, sometimes I realize "why not?" and start pulling out a pair of scissors.
AI Usage policy: I do not create content which integrates or stands on AI generated coding or graphics. I may use a language model to verbally help me brainstorm or problem solve, and I may generate "stock art" that is not brand specific and does not add quality or content to my distributed work. I will credit any other work from other individuals that I have benefited from, but I count AI generated content as CC0 (neither I nor anyone else may possess nor receive credit from derivative content).
